A Trip to Remember

Welcome to Narasapuram

I recently visited my village near Narasapuram, a town in Andhra Pradesh famous for its lace industry and coconut products. It was a trip to remember, as I experienced the beauty and culture of this region. Here are some highlights of my journey

Arriving at Narasapuram Railway Station

As soon as I stepped out of the train, I was greeted by a pleasant welcome picture depicting the art of Bapu, a renowned film director and artist who was born in Narasapuram. The picture showed a scene from his movie Seetha Kalyanam, which was based on the Ramayana. I felt a sense of pride and nostalgia as I admired the picture.

Stopping for Coffee and Breakfast

On the way to my village, we stopped for coffee and breakfast at a small hotel called Tea Dot Com. The name sounded very funny, as if it was a website for tea lovers. The hotel served delicious South Indian dishes like idli, dosa, and vada. I enjoyed the hot and spicy food, along with the refreshing coffee.

Walking along the Godavari River

In the evening, we went to the Godavari bank near Valandar Ravu, a place where the river widens and forms a lake. We took a nice walk along the river, feeling the fresh air breeze on our faces. The river was sparkling with the reflection of the setting sun. I felt a sense of peace and happiness as I walked with my family and friends.

Enjoying the Street Food

Later, we enjoyed a classic street food called Piditha-Kinda-Papu, which is a spicy and tangy dish made with boiled peanuts, onions, tomatoes, and lemon juice. We sat at Bapu’s Kalashetram, a cultural center named after the famous artist, and exchanged some good memories while enjoying the view over the river. I felt a sense of satisfaction and gratitude as I savored the food and the company.

A Slice of Paradise: My Village

Nestled amidst the hustle and bustle of the world, there lies a serene oasis, a place where time seems to stand still – my village. This is a place where the air is filled with the sweet scent of coconut groves, and the landscape is painted with lush paddy fields.

As you walk through the village, you can’t help but notice the bullcarts ambling along the narrow paths. These traditional vehicles, driven by the village’s robust bulls, are not just a means of transport, but a symbol of our rich heritage and culture.

The village is a canvas of picturesque sceneries. The coconut trees, standing tall and proud, sway gently in the breeze, casting long, dancing shadows on the ground. The paddy fields, a vibrant green, stretch as far as the eye can see, their tranquility only interrupted by the occasional chirping of birds.

This is a place where nature is at its best. The sunsets here are unlike any other. As the sun dips below the horizon, it paints the sky in hues of orange and pink, reflecting beautifully on the calm waters of the nearby pond. The nights are equally enchanting, with the moon casting a silver glow on the landscape, and the stars twinkling brightly in the clear sky.

There is a certain magic in the simplicity of village life. The people here live in harmony with nature, their lives intertwined with the seasons and the cycles of the fields. The sound of laughter echoes through the air as children play under the shade of the trees, and the elders share stories of old, their faces lit by the warm glow of the evening fire.

Indeed, there is no place on earth similar to this. It’s a paradise in its own right, untouched by the chaos of the city. It’s a place where one can truly experience the joy of simple living and the beauty of nature. This is my village, a slice of paradise on earth.
